"你很好看" 这个在 英语 (美国) 里怎么说？

@TmthsAng "You look good" is usually more general (your outfit looks good, your makeup looks good, you look good today, etc), while "good looking" is mostly about face, like someone who is 长得很漂亮 or 很帅 etc.

Examples for "you look good":

1.

A: Is this outfit okay to wear for the party tonight?

B: Don't worry! You look good!

2.

A: Sorry I'm late!

B: No, it's okay! You look good today!

Examples for "good-looking":

A: What do you think about this guy?

B: Oh he's pretty good-looking.

(I usually wouldn't call someone "good-looking" to their face unless they asked me something like "What do you think about me?" etc, then I could say "You're pretty good-looking" since if I said "You're pretty hot" or "You're gorgeous," it would sound like I'm flirting with them)

I couldn't normally tell someone "you look hot" unless I was saying it to flirt or if it was to a friend (usually of the same gender, unless I'm super close with them), but "you look good" can be said to anyone.

For "good-looking," I wouldn't really use that too often since "good-looking" is more like "挺好看," so not as flattering as "pretty," "gorgeous," "hot," etc, and it doesn't have to mean "attractive" either, it just looks good.
